Three-Bean Salad

with Black Garlic Marinade

For the Black Garlic Marinade:


3 tablespoon Chef Mitch Maier Black Garlic Sauce & Marinade

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon light brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon pepper, or to taste

1/8 teaspoon salt, or to taste

For the salad:

3 cups canned beans, drained and rinsed (such as black beans, garbanzo beans and, kidney beans)

1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion

1/2 cup coarsely chopped green bell pepper

1/2 cup coarsely chopped red bell pepper

2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley





Whisk the Black Garlic Sauce & Marinade ingredients together in a large bowl.

Add the salad ingredients and stir until evenly combined. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper.

Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
